I have lways believed this and when working in the ophthalmic industry for many years saw this first hand. I am by no means a reader of medical journals but am aware that few people ever discuss this risk. Often times when people think of lasik they think they will be eyeglass and or contact lens free permanently. This certainly not the case as often times lasik leads to premature or increased need for reading glasses. I just read this article and thought it should be linked to:

I will say the overall voice of the article is pro lasik which I certainly do not support but it is an interesting read.
